Please would you tell me if there is an editable bracket to indicate two adjacent notes articulated under the same bow direction (like the 1st/2nd time bar markings but with shorter "legs", variable angle and no numbers). ( We call it a "hooked" bowing.)

Hallo Miles
Das habe ich bei Eliane Gould gefunden bezüglich "hooked bowing". Das lässt sich in capella einfach realisieren mit einem Staccatopunkt und einem Bindebogen.

Hallo Paul.

Thank you for your kind reply. Bowing articulation marks - a tricky area for performers sometimes! Ambiguities are frequent. I'll explain, but first some examples... (I regret that my fluency in German is inadequate).
Stravinsky tried hard to be accurate as to his intentions. He (and others) would also sometimes insert a comma between slur markings. The first example is from his "Apollon Musagete" and shows such markings elsewhere.
The 3rd example is from Grieg's "Holberg Suite"; Obviously bars 5 and 6 should be articulated as bar 1 and 2, including the tied Gs in Vln 2 bar 5 and 6!
1. Can be ambiguous. 2 insertions, and placement adjustments.
2. Can be ambiguous. 3 insertions and placement adjustments.
3. Better, but 3 insertions and placement adjustments.
4. Not bad, but this is used normally to indicate an editorially added slur.
5. Best. Hand-made rather quickly in Photoshop, and Insert From File .... I will refine the graphic and create 3 of these - slope up, horizontal and slope down. Maybe more of varying gradients.
It would be so good to have a plain bracket graphic in Capella as in #5, with adjustable gradient, length, and legs up or down!
Hallo Miles
#5 lässt sich mit (Triolen)-Klammern realisieren.

Super! Vielen Dank, Paul. Ich habe gelernt dass jede Partitur eine eigene Galerie hat. Vielleicht sind die Beine ein bisschen zu lang; Ich denke sie können nicht verändert werden.
Kind regards,
